What Are You Thankful For?

Many people celebrate Thanksgiving Day by gathering at home with family and friends for a holiday feast. We take time out to express gratitude and show appreciation for the people and things we have in our lives. Although we should be thankful EVERYDAY, Thanksgiving is special because we also get to eat good food. After watching the BrainPOP video about Thanksgiving and discussing some of the things you are thankful for, post a response to the following:

Describe at least two things that you are thankful for this holiday season. Explain why these things are an important part of your life.

    This year I am thankful for all of my family and friends. I appreciate my family and friends because they make me happy and I enjoy spending time with them. I am also thankful that I have a job. I have heard about so many people losing their jobs and I am thankful that I am still able to keep my job as a teacher.

    I am thankful for my family. My children are healthy and happy, and that makes me feel very happy. I am very thankful that I have met so many wonderful students this school year. I am looking forward to getting to know all my students even better as the year progresses.

    I am extremely thankful for my loving family, dependable friends and respectful students. My family always calls me to see how I am doing. My friends are always there if I need them and they make me laugh often. My students really brighten up my day when they are caring to me and others.

    I am very thankful for my family, especially my husband and my beautiful baby girl who I get to spend Thanksgiving with this year for the first time!! I am thankful for my colleagues and wonderful students who make me laugh and help me enjoy being at Swansfield every day:)

    I am thankful for my family and friends. Life would not be the same for me without them. They are there when I need someone to depend on, and that makes me feel loved. I am also thankful for my health and strength. Many people have been getting sick, and I'm glad that I have been able to stay healthy. ~Mrs. Greenwood

    I am very thankful for my friends, family and students! I am very lucky to have a loving family! I love spending time with my friends playing sports, watching movies, and having fun! I am also fortunate because I have wonderful, respectful, smart students who can always make me smile.

    I am thankful for my family...most of the time! Although having three teenagers is hard they are also VERY funny and make me laugh most days.
    I am thankful to work with Mr. Dennis in the gym. He is kind, patient with students and also makes me laugh.

    I am thankful for my family and friends. I am also thankful for my new house which I have finally moved into and am working on constantly! I am also very thankful for my 5th grade class, who is a wonderful bunch of students.

    I am thankful for beautiful fall days, laughing fits, tasty food, great books, loving people. I am sometimes thankful when things stay the same and sometimes thankful when they change. I am always thankful for kindness, fairness, justice, peace, when we can have them. I am thankful for Swansfield.

    I am thankful for love, joy, friends, family, good food, coffee, good,healing tears, students who remind me that there is always more to learn, books, the ocean, kindness (from grand to the smallest, most unexpected forms), thoughtfulness, dogs, curiosity, travel, finding and creating a life with purpose- and always reassessing it, a husband who is patient with me and encourages me to be my best, friends who challenge me to think about the most fundamental assumptions of the days, and a new baby- on the way!!! okay...I'll stop!

    There is tons in the world to be thankful for if you have the right perspective. A few things I am finding to be thankful for today are...a warm kitten to wake up to, a beautiful fall morning, fantastic friends who challenge me to become a better person, students who are eager to learn and the blessings of a home, food and health that are so easily overlooked. I hope you can choose to find something different to be grateful for everyday! Its there if you just look:)

    I am thankful for all the things I have gotten in life. I am also thankful for the education I get from the teachers at Swansfield. But, I am mostly thankful for my family, my friends, and my life. All the happiness I have ever felt is from what I am thankful for. I hope others can be as happy and thankful as me.

    I am thankful for my parents. They took care, fed me, and stayed up into the night when I was sick. I am grateful for the things my parents give me, like toys and books, but I am most thankful for the love they give me.
    I am also thankful for the puppy my mom and dad gave me. I am joyful whenever I play with my puppy because it makes me happy that my parents think I am responsible enough to take care of a puppy.
    The friends I have give comfort to me because I know I will have a caring companion.

    Im am thankful for my friends and family. Also Im thankful for the things i have in life because if i diddn't have the things i had in life i don't know how i would get by. Another thing is that im thankful im able to go to a very great school with some of the best teachers. < still wish Mr. Davis was here> but any ways i still like our new principal. I am also thankful for my cats and the food i provide for my 3 cats. Somtimes i wish had more in life but Im fine with the things I have. Oh and Im thankful for the teriffic food my family provides for me.

    I am thank full for friends,family,food,water,life, my pets, and me. Life is unfair... but sometimes stuff is worth it. Friends and family are important to me they stand up for me and fight with me. Food and water help me serfive and it's also tasty. I am what i think of my self not anyones aproveal. life is funny that way. All life is sacred to someone. No one deserves to die. my pets... I love more than I love myself

    I am thankful for friends,family,living creatures,plants and LIFE.I am thankful for friends and family because you will know that you always have someone to care for you.I am thankful for living creatures because when they are dead they help the Earth and make it even more wonderful.I am thankful for plants because they give us oxygen so we can breath.I am thankful for LIFE because it makes Earth the best Earth it can be!     I'm thankful for my sister in college, and that she can come home for Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for my mom, my dad, and my other sister, who always give me help when I need it. I'm thankful for the fact that my surgery went well and that my arm is now healing correctly. I'm thankful for friends, food, good books, and Swansfield.

    I am thankful for my little sister in Kindergarten [who is always annoying, but I love her anyway!] I am thankful that I go to Swansfield Elementary, because its a great school. All the teachers are awesome, and its a pleasure to be here. I am also thankful for my 2 parakeets. Although they can make a lot of noise, they are fun to take care of. I am thankful for all my friends and family. I'm glad that I have read so many good books.

    I am thankful for my daughter and all of my family and my friends because I love them and they love me. I am grateful to live and work in this amazing community.     I am thankful for a great school because this school is the most respected school in the world. The students in this school respect it and never let it look trashy. Everybody wants a neat school and Swansfield has the most cleanest award hanging in front of the first grade pod.

    I am thankful for having my grandfather ,cause he past away when I was just 2 years old. Im also thankful for my mommy for bringing me into this world . Also my dad & mom for feeding me and buying me stuff I need. I am thankful for my religion God witch its God.     I am thankful for my friends and family, because they take rally good care of me. Also I am thankful for food because if we didn't have food we wouldn't be eating turkey for thanksgiving.     I am thankful for my friends and family. I spend most of my family,when we play the Wii. I also spend some of my with my friends outside. We play games like tag. I am also thankful for my clothes to wear. I am also thankful for my life. Also my mom because then I would not be born. With out my life then I may have been dead or not born. When I am not born I would not have this many friends now. I think I should stop so I will. I am now done. But I am going to keep going I LOVE THANKS GIVING.

    I am thankful for medicine. I would not be happy if medicine was bad this year. I would be overwhelmed with stiff neck.I am also thankful for finding my toys and homework because if it were not for finding stuff I wouldn't have good pressure on me.
