Forces and Motion
There are two roller coasters. The hills on one roller coaster are much higher than the hills on the other roller coaster. Tell which roller coaster would be faster. Tell why it would be faster.
*be sure to explain your answer in 3 or more sentences.
the higher hill because the slope is going up and the more further it goes up the more speed it will go.the smaller one is going to be less speed because your not going as much and the speed is reduce.
ReplyDeleteThe one with the highest hill will go faster down then the other one.Because the highest the hill the more force.
ReplyDeleteI think that the higher roller coaster will go faster because he force is puling the roller coaster down and that can make go really fast then the other one.the lower one willgo slower because it will have less force
ReplyDeleteThe one with the higher because it has more momentum. The momentum make makes the roller coaster go faster from the hill. That is why it goes faster.
ReplyDeletethe highest hill is the fastest and biggest so thats the highest
ReplyDeletethe roller coaster on the hill is faster than the roller coaster thats not on the hill because if there is wind the wind will move the roller coaster
ReplyDelete(force)
the roller coaster that as the higher hill cause when it gos down the hill the gravity will pull it down and the weight will be very heavy which will also make it go down the hill faster
ReplyDeleteI think that the one that has the short hills faster because it has more gravity. Another reason is that it also has more force.
ReplyDeleteThe roller coster with higher hills will pick up speed going down because the force makes it go faster
ReplyDeleteThe roller coaster with the higher hills would go faster because the only power needed for the coaster would be taking it up the hill the first time.
ReplyDeleteIf one roller coaster has higher hills it WILL go faster because gravity speeds it up. The higher the hill the higher the velocity.
I think the roller coaster that have the highest hill are the fastest one because when the wind use it's force it going to push the passengers faster when they go don the hill or going upside down
ReplyDeleteI think the one with the higher hill is going to be faster because of gravity it will move faster toward the ground. If we didnt have gravity then the roller coaster would be going in the air because there is nothing to hold the coaster down to the ground. Like us we need to stay on the ground instead of gong into the air everywhere we go.
ReplyDeleteI think roller coasters with higher ramps are faster because coming from the top you will have a lot more speed coming down like on the superman in six flags america. If something is coming from a far distance is going to be faster than a short distance ramp.Gravity on the higher ramp is pushing down on the roller coaster
ReplyDeletethe smaller hilled roller coaster would be the same as the bigger hilled one because the force of gravity pulls down more on a steeper rise up and a smaller rise would be easier because it is not as steep. the only thing that makes me think they would be the same speed is a steeper way down the force of gravity pulls down more from higher and less from lower so i think they are the same speed
ReplyDeletethe one with the higher hill because the speed will go faster and it will be more intence
ReplyDeleteThe roller coaster with the higher hill would be faster because it will have more force. Also the momentum would make it go faster. All that put together will make the roller coaster go faster.
ReplyDeletethe one with the higher hills will go faster because when you are going up the hill the friction from the hill is bringing you up and then when you go down the gravity is pulling you down. Also the one with the smaller hills will pull you down less when you are going down because the hills are smaller then the other roller coaster.
ReplyDeleteI think the first roller coster will be faster. The hills are higher witch will make the roller coster speed faster. The higher hills make the 1 roller coster than the 2 roller coster
ReplyDeletei thank the roller coster with the hill that is higher because it is much hight than the other one.I thank the one with the lower one is not going to be fast because it is not as higher than the other one.
ReplyDeleteThe roller coaster with shorter hills will be faster. The force of gravity is going down the hills of the shorter roller coaster is not as much as the force of gravity going down the roller coaster with longer hills.
ReplyDeleteI think the roller coaster that that has lower hill will go faster because the momentum of the one that has low hill can keep going but wont go so fast. But the one with really high hills goes really fast but then slows down because it needs to to climb the high hill.
ReplyDeleteI think the higher roller coasters would go faster . It would go faster because the higher the better . And that what I say.
